User Association and Options

User Associations

User Association allows a user to be set up with other users so that when the primary user creates a deal, the associated users are automatically added to the deal. User Association is used for administration, training or coaching, and deal sharing purposes. A user can have the following associations.

Reviewer - a user who has to review each deal for the associate before the deal can go to a lender; the reviewer must be an agent or broker. A reviewer is commonly used for training purposes when a new junior agent (associate) joins a firm.

Default Agent - when the assistant or administrator adds a deal, the "default agent" automatically becomes the "agent of record" on the deal. If there is no default agent specified, the assistant or administrator will have to select who is to be the agent on the deal.

Submission Agent - the submission agent is the agent who submits the deal, rather than the agent who is on (or "owns") the deal. A submission agent can be added for a user if that  user's deals should be submitted to the lender as another user for volume bonus purposes. Depending on the user configuration, the user is either defaulted a submission agent, or can have a list of submission agents to choose from via the Submission Agent dropdown on the Participants screen.

Note that the default for the submission agent is the agent on the deal. Brokers also have the ability to assign a constant submission agent to all deals automatically. The setup of a constant submission agent on all deals requires the broker to call their local RSM for this hierarchy change. Note that the reports and access is based on the agent on the deal and not the submission agent. Agents on the deal will continue to have the same access and edit rights.
